Volunteer

Volunteers play an important role at both our Kelowna and West Kelowna locations. Getting involved is easy.

The Central Okanagan Community Food Bank is a volunteer driven organization. Simply put, we would not exist without the hard work, commitment and dedication of our volunteers! We wish to thank those who contribute their time through volunteering, fundraising and food collection throughout the year. It’s through such contributions from the public that we are able to ensure food reaches those who need it most.

Every year, the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank relies on approximately 350 volunteers, contributing more than 30,000 hours.

“I feel blessed to be able to volunteer at the Food Bank with my husband and be able to give back to the community. We began when our other volunteer options were closed due to COVID. I love volunteering in a clean and organized environment with flexibility of days and hours that we can choose. We tried a couple of different areas within the organization and found a ‘favorite’, that we love. The Food Bank staff are affirming, understanding, show and verbalize appreciation and allow us to be creative.”
