Our Tiny Bundles program is designed to provide new parents and their newborn children with fresh, nutritious food and formula to help them thrive. Every week, eligible participants receive a hamper filled with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, bread and grains, and protein sources such as meat, poultry, and fish. In addition, the hamper includes diapers and wipes, and formula to help new parents meet their baby’s nutritional needs.
To be eligible for the program, participants must be new parents with a newborn child under the age of one year, or must currently be pregnant.
Interested participants can apply for the program by filling out an online application form (new clients) or by contacting our office for assistance (returning clients). Once the application is received and reviewed, eligible participants will be contacted and provided with additional instructions on how to receive their weekly food hamper.
Interior Health Appointments Now Available
A local Interior Health nurse will be available on-site once a month to provide support and guidance on developmental milestones for infants. The nurse will be available to answer questions related to feeding, sleeping, and other developmental concerns that new parents may have. This service is open to all new parents who are picking up food hampers from the Kelowna COFB location.
We understand that many new parents face challenges when it comes to accessing healthcare services due to various reasons. By providing this service at the Central Okanagan Food Bank, we hope to make it easier for new parents to access healthcare support and guidance.
We encourage all new parents to take advantage of this service and ask any questions they may have. Our goal is to provide the best support possible to all of our clients, and we hope that this new service will be beneficial to our clients and their families.
