We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to help us feed individuals and families experiencing hunger in our community. We receive and distribute over 250,000 pounds of food per month and our warehouse team is integral to our operations. The main function of this role is to support and guide our warehouse volunteers and staff in all aspects of warehouse operations. Reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator, the Lead Hand will provide leadership to volunteers and staff, execute shipping and receiving tasks, manage inventory, support our non-perishable food rescue program, and help ensure efficiency in the warehouse.

Client Services at Central Okanagan Food Bank (COFB) is responsible for greeting in-person clients/visitors and answering incoming calls from our community residents in need of food support. Over 6500 people are served by our Hamper program monthly, which translates into a high monthly call volume and visitors through our drive-through and walk-up distribution areas. The main function and role for the Client Services Navigator is to support and engage with clients as they receive food support. This will include helping clients register, manage appointments, oversee appointment reminders, assess client needs, ensure fair application of COFB client policies and procedures, and help connect clients with other resources in our community.
The distribution centre is where the “rubber meets the road” for food support in the Central Okanagan. From here, food hampers are packed, built, sorted, and distributed to over 100 clients 5 days a week. The main function and role for the Distribution Associate is to partner and guide our front-line volunteers and staff to assist with all aspects of hamper distribution including set up; line re-stock; food distribution; cleanup and other duties as required. Successful staff and front-line volunteers thrive in a fast paced, client focused environment.
