As the successful candidate, you will report to the Chief Executive Officer and work in collaboration with other members of the Development team to ensure that clients’ needs are met daily. Utilizing the help of other staff and volunteers, you will be responsible to organize and oversee the food distribution process at the West Kelowna location, including pickup, receipt, and storage of food. You will act as a community liaison, maintaining client confidentiality, disseminating information regarding other community resources, and providing a safe and pleasant atmosphere for all clients who come to the food bank. Central Okanagan Food Bank is looking for a high-energy Program Coordinator to build out internal programming and act as a liaison with other non-profits, grocery store retailers, and community organizations to share available resources regarding food insecurity in the Okanagan. The position shares operational and developmental responsibilities internally and externally to ensure programs are well supported and adapted to meet the diverse needs of program specifics.
