Babies First
To give every baby the best possible start in life, the Central Okanagan Food Bank created the Tiny Bundles Program in 2004, which was specifically designed to support our pregnant moms and families with children under the age of 1.
In addition to monthly hampers, those participating in the Tiny Bundles program receive weekly nutritional supplies of fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, milk, eggs, and cheese. Once their baby is born, baby basics are added to the weekly pickup including diapers, formula, and baby food.
By simply providing basic weekly support we can collectively contribute significant mental and physical relief to some of the most vulnerable members of our society. The Central Okanagan Food bank is the only organization offering this type of nutritional and baby basic support within our region.
We anticipate assisting over 18,360 infants, children, and youth over the next year.
