CBC Food Bank Day

For 36 years, British Columbians have been generously donating to food banks at CBC/Radio-Canada’s annual Open House and Food Bank Day, raising more than $18 million for food banks in B.C.

The demand for food banks in B.C. and across Canada is skyrocketing, with almost 200,000 visits to B.C. food banks happening in the past year. Between inflation and the continuing cost-of-living crisis, more people are accessing services from food banks every year.
